The combination of bacterial strains must be investigated in clinical studies: In our studies, we were able to show that the selected bifidobacterial strains act synergistically and do not inhibit each other. Many probiotic bacteria can inhibit one another, especially when they come from different bacterial families, such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. For this reason, we have deliberately chosen a targeted combination of selected bifidobacterial strains.

What should I consider when taking probiotics?

In general, it is recommended to take probiotics in a way that minimizes exposure to stomach acid during passage. Therefore, we recommend taking our Little Friends ideally on an empty stomach. How many bifidobacteria species exist and where do they naturally occur?

The genus Bifidobacterium comprises around 80 species, including 10 subspecies, which naturally occur in the human or animal gut. In general, bifidobacteria play a central role in regulating intestinal, immune, and metabolic functions. However, not all bifidobacteria are the same, and not all species have identical beneficial effects. The positive functions of bifidobacteria are strain-specific and depend on their natural habitat.

Which dosage form of probiotics is best and most effective?

What matters most is that the probiotic bacteria remain viable and are not significantly damaged during the manufacturing process.
